Cookies – how we use them
A list of all the types of cookies used on our Site and/or Services by category is set out below.
Performance and functionality cookies
These cookies collect information about how you use the Site, for instance which pages you go to most often, and if you get error messages from web pages.
These cookies don’t collect information that can identify you. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. It is used to improve how the Site works and to deliver the most effective content to our visitors. Information from these cookies is used to gauge page popularity, analyse traffic patterns on our Site and/or Services, develop web analytics, and guide development of other improvements to our Site and/or Services.
Targeting cookies or advertising cookies
These cookies are used to deliver adverts more relevant to you and your interests and to analyse advertisement response rates. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement as well as help measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. They are placed by advertising networks with our permission. They remember that you have visited a website and this information is shared with other organisations such as advertisers. Quite often targeting or advertising cookies will be linked to site functionality provided by the other organisation.
Online advertising we use
We occasionally use Google AdWords Remarketing to trigger advertising across the Internet. AdWords remarketing will display relevant ads tailored to you based on what parts of the Goldwing Cable website you have viewed by placing a cookie on your machine. This cookie does not in anyway identify you or give access to your computer. The cookie is used to say “This person visited this page, so show them ads relating to that page.” Google AdWords Remarketing allows us to tailor our marketing to better suit your needs and only display ads that are relevant to you.
How to opt out of remarketing and advertising
If you do not wish to participate in our Google AdWords Remarketing, you can opt out by visiting Google’s Ads Preferences Manager
